Hello Readers!
I just got back from my spring break trip with Amanda on Monday, April 3rd and it couldn’t have had a better time!
As I sit down to write my blog I am struggling to find a format that would work best and I thought that just going day by day would be the best. So here is my spring break adventure
Our first stop was Prague
Thursday, March 23rd: Today was the day we left for Prague! We started the morning nice and early with a 4:20am bus ride to the airport.
- Our right was nice and short
Once we landed in Prague we had no idea where to go so we went to the information desk and got help on how to use the public transportation and directions to our hostel. Once we found our hostel we checked in and went to find some food.
- We ended up finding a traditional Czech restaurant called 3+3+3 which was amazing. I had chicken goulash which was delicious.

After eating we wandered around a bit to get our baring’s and start to see where everything is located.
- On our walk we saw Charles Bridge, The John Lennon wall and the lock bridge.
- On our way back to the hostel we stopped for a Trdelnik which is a traditional Czech dessert.

With our bellies full we headed back to the hostel and ended up meeting two of our roommates; Sam & Ales who are from London.
- We hit it off with them right away and ended up going to the hostel dinner with them that night before going to an Absinth bar. For dinner we had pasta and hot dogs which was surprising good and even better because it was free! After dinner, we headed to the Absinth bar. The first one we went to was completely full so we found another one around the corner. Once we were done hanging out there for a bit we decided to head back to the hostel and call it a night.
Friday, March 24th: Today we started the day with a yummy breakfast at a cute café before heading up to Petrin Hill.
- On top of the hill there was an “Eiffel tower” with an amazing outlook over the city.
- After spending some time on top of the hill we headed back to the main street and on the way down we say beautiful blossoming trees.

Once we were back on the main streets we took a detour route home and saw more of the city before heading to the other side to see the castle.
- We ended up not going in because Sam & Alex said it wasn’t worth it.
When we were done exploring we headed back to the hostel and ended up talking to Sam and Alex a bit about how their day was. After a bit, we went down to the lobby to go on the bar crawl the hostel was hosting, however, the guide didn’t make it sound too fun so we decided that us four would just go out.
- We started the night at an Irish pub called The Pub. We talked for a few hours about everything which was so much fun to hear about life in the UK compared to the US.
- Next we went to a club which had an ice bar in it! We first stopped in the ice bar which was very neat, but after a bit we got cold and headed up to the other 4 floors of dancing and danced the night away.

Saturday, March 25th: Today was our last day in Prague which was bitter sweet. We started the morning by finishing up packing and said our goodbye’s so Sam and Alex. Luckily the hostel could hold our bags for the day so we didn’t have to lug around our big back packs for the day!
After checking out we headed to find some food. We ended up finding a cute café in a back alley called Art Café.
- The food there was delicious! I would go back there someday if I ever am lucky enough to go back to Prague.

With our bellies full we wandered the city for a while longer eating some more fun treats before heading to the airport to catch our flight to Budapest.
- Before we arrived in Budapest we had a layover in Berlin.
