Hello Readers!
After a long J-Term break I finally had my first day of classes in Scotland. I definitely lucked out with my schedule, so that I only have classes Monday (all day) and Wednesday (only until noon). Since my first was a Monday i was pooped by the end of the day so Isabelle and I just played some ping pong for a bit before heading to bed.
The next day was a day off for me so I didn’t do too much until after dinner when Brittany and I went to play ping pong with Adam and Connor. Throughout the night we played ping pong, foosball, and pool until it was time to go to a movie (T2 Trainspotting) for class. The rest of the group got on an earlier bus, but we wanted to finish our game so we ended up taking a later bus which almost made us late for the movie. Luckily the theater was easy to find so we made it in time! When we were waiting for everyone to get snacks, Connor threw away his receipt from food and I had this gut feeling that he threw away his ticket too. So, I asked if he still had his ticket and sure enough it was gone, so he had to look through the garbage and luckily he found it.
The next day I had morning class with Sarah and we woke up 4 mins before our class started so we had to run to class, but we made it with one minute to spare. After class we had food safety training which didnt last too long and then when we were waiting for dinner Sarah and I spotted some cute dogges so we literally ran out of the house and down to the field to pet dogs. After petting the dogs we headed to dinner. Once dinner was done a group of us were all playing some games in the ballroom when Tim had the idea to go for a night walk. We were all hesitant at first, but then a few of us decided to go, and I am glad we did. Even though it was spooky at points it was definitely a fun night filled with wonderful memories.

Since I am done with class on Wednesday that means that Thursday is the start of my weekend! This Thursday I had to do my house chore (take out the trash on the first floor) for the first time which wasn’t too bad. On top of that I also had my first lunch duty and and first clan duty (dinner duty) which really weren’t that bad either. In between lunch and dinner I had a break so Connor and I decided to go out for a photo shoot which was really fun to go exploring some trails I hadn’t been on yet. After about an hour we headed back to the house so I could get ready for dinner.

Friday we had a trip to Edinburgh castle which was very fun and an amazing spot to see the whole city.

Saturday was a pretty relaxing day. I went out for breakfast with Brittany and then we headed into the city for a bit of shopping. After we got back from Edinburgh we planned to have a pizza and movie night. At 5:30 we ordered a pizza and ice cream from Dominos and long story short 3 1/2 hours later we still didn’t get our pizza! We ended up canceling and heading to Cavaliers for some food. Luckily that was a lot fast so we headed back and watched What A Girl Wants and Hercules with Isabelle and Connor. Besides having to wait 3 1/3 hours for a pizza that never showed up it was a very nice night.
Sunday morning I went to church with Sara and Rebekah in Edinburgh. I’m not going to lie I was pretty nervous to go to a new church, but right away we were welcomed in which made it very nice. The service was very good as well, and the speakers were easy too understand too. After church was over Connor met up with us and we all went to lunch at Barburrito which was really good and had a nice student discount which always helps! Once we were all full we parted ways and Connor and I went to see La La Land. Once the movie was done we headed home and called it a night.
I cant believe that tomorrow (Feb. 6th) marks two weeks of being here. I have loved every good and not so great moment of being here! I cant wait to continue to make many more memories!
Talk to you all soon 🙂
